Fashion in clothing presented in 007

錨點 1

As James Bond's preferred shoemaker, Jonathan Jones, managing director of Crockett & Jones, once said: "007 may be a man who performs tasks, but his taste is also flawless."

This family-run company in Northampton was founded in 1879 and made shoes for 142 years.  A wealth of knowledge and experience make their shoes almost unique.  Jones said: "The way we make shoes, we do not make any concessions." "The company has a history of more than 140 years, so we continue to develop and update the process, but only when it wants to maintain or improve standards we will do this. We do. We want to provide the best quality in all aspects of the shoes."

A further chapter of their storied lineage came in 2012 when Daniel Craig wanted to use their classic and elegant styles to portray 007 in Skyfall. “Fans of the James Bond films may already know of the other shoes we have created,” explains Jones. “Our Highbury also appears in Skyfall and Spectre.” The Highbury is a plain black derby shoe with an elegant chisel toe which Bond has sported throughout Daniel Craig’s tenure. Their Molton Chukka Boot was introduced for No Time To Die.

Some of the Bond girls’ costumes were created by Packham, such as the modern classic satin dress worn by Solange (played by Caterina Murino) in the 2006 Casino Royale. Still, she quickly shared these compliments: “Costume designer Lindy Hemming came to find. Here, she thought of the colour of Solange's dress. She wanted this beautiful pomegranate colour," Packham said while chatting with 007.com across the table in the London office.  When we asked how to choose a dress to appear in the movie, we talked about the various designs Packham created for the Bond film.  "I know they equipped the Casino Royale with Catalina's huge gear. It lasted a few hours. They chose the first dress she tried, which happened to be mine. Part of the temptation was that unusual colour. It didn't. Bright, just a little softer. However, the way it walks around Catalina makes her look sculptural. The high splits and back details, and straps are very sexy and part of the attraction.  It's a bit sexy. This dress is great, but I think Catalina in this dress made it work."

In "No Time to Die", Jenny collaborated with costume designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb to provide a series of dresses for the ghost party scene.

Dresses in the new collection include Packham’s designs from Die Another Day, a one-shouldered tulle dress covered in transparent sequins and silver beads, the Casino above Royale creation, and attire inspired by Octopussy, Tomorrow Never Dies, and The World Is Not Enough. “EON gave us access to the classic evening wear from the 007 archives. When we got to look at the navy dress worn by Barbara Bach as Major Anya Amasova in The Spy Who Loved Me, we found some rather interesting things about how it was created. That was intriguing. It was very slim-fitting, and a ribbon runs inside and holds the whole gown in place. There’s a split, but Barbara would have moved around as an actress without worrying about the split moving or revealing anything because of how the dress was constructed. It was a nice little secret to find for a designer. We all know what these items look like on the outside, but it has been fascinating to get a closer look and discover more about the details inside.”

The Bond movies have been the cinematic constant of my life, and their glamour has always inspired me. So when I was asked to describe the unique design of my career, I was reminded of one of my designs from the Bond film series. Bondgirl's fashion is timeless and unique, from Ursula Andress walking out of the ocean with a knife tied to her hips and a white bikini to Casino Royal's Caterina Murino in a sexy pomegranate satin appearance. Partnering with EON Productions to create a collection of Bond-inspired dresses was a very incredible experience. Jenny Packham said.
